The estates of two grandparents killed in a Christmas Day fire in Stamford are planning to sue the city.
The administrator of Lomer and Pauline Johnson's estate filed intent to sue notices yesterday.
The parents of the three girls also killed in the fire have both filed their intentions to sue as well.
Officials say the fire was started by embers from the fireplace that were left in a bag in the mudroom.
Stamford's legal affairs director says the city is not liable.
