Two of News 12 Connecticut scholar athletes are headed off to play college football at the next level.
Wilton High School seniors George Papakosmas and Todd Woodring have been playing football together since third grade, so it was only right they signed their national letters of intent together.
"To quote Muhammad Ali, 'Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.' He was one of the greatest boxers of all-time, so I think a huge part of it is just don't give up, don't let anyone tell you how much you're worth and just keep fighting man," said Papakosmas.
The school held a special ceremony Wednesday.
"I got the pleasure of watching both my son and his son play football and here they are going on to play college, I'm super grateful. I'm going to get choked up right now," said his father Yanni Papakosmas.
Woodring will play college football at Marist and Papakosmas will play at American International College.
