Bridgeport police are investigating two shootings that happened overnight.
Police say the first happened around midnight on Pembrook Street near Arctic Street.
They say 54-year-old James Williams was shot in the stomach and hand.
Police say Williams told them he was assaulted by a man and was shot when he wrestled the gun away from the suspect.
The second shooting happened on Wells Street around the same time.
Investigators say 22-year-old Sony Theluca was shot three times while sitting in a car.
They say Theluca's brother then took the victim to the hospital.
It's not yet clear if the incidents are connected.
