A Bridgeport furniture store owner is facing additional sex assault charges as police say two more women have come forward detailing similar encounters with the man.
Hennawi Salem was arrested Sunday at his business, Salem Furniture, and charged with sexual assault in the third and fourth degrees, and two counts of disorderly conduct.
Salem was accused of luring two female customers in separate incidents into the basement of his furniture store.
Once in the basement, police say Salem asked the women to lay down and test a mattress.
Police say the women claim they were assaulted by Salem.
Both victims told police they decided to make a police report because they saw Salem on the news and had similar experiences.
Salem was previously arrested on Sept. 25, 2020 and July 20, 2021 for sex assault, unlawful restraint and risk of injury to a child after four other women made similar accusations against the store owner.
Salem had a bond of $100,000.
