Connecticut State Police are updating their investigation into 26,000 potentially fake traffic tickets.
Commanders expect critical software upgrades to be in place within a month, which should make it easier to flag questionable citations.
In the meantime, an internal review is looking at the tickets already identified.
"They'll identify an issue, look at the records, have those records then peer-reviewed by the supervisor," said state police administrative commander Col. Mark Davidson.
Also released Thursday, a former Hartford police officer falsified at least 33 traffic stops last year. That officer has since resigned.
