They say Stephanie Peterson was crossing the street near Howe Avenue and White Street just after midnight when she was struck by a car driven by 19-year-old Ariela Treysler.

Police say a Trumbull woman has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Shelton that happened Jan. 6.
They say Stephanie Peterson was crossing the street near Howe Avenue and White Street just after midnight when she was struck by a car driven by 19-year-old Ariela Treysler.
Treysler is charged with felony evading responsibility.
She was released on a $50,000 bond.
