Local roads are fully reopen following a garage fire on North Water Street in Greenwich early this morning.

Greenwich Fire Department was alerted just after 4 a.m. on Tuesday to 86 N. Water St., where a commercial garage occupied by Westmore Fuel was found engulfed in flames.

Over 30 firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in approximately 20 minutes from their arrival.

The garage was empty when the fire started, and no injuries have been reported.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was investigating the nearby Byram River for toxins and pollution, but have determined that there is no threat to the river, the building or the community.
