State police: Hartford man drove the wrong way on I-84 in Tolland; faces several charges

State police said a man was driving the wrong way on I-84 in Tolland on Saturday morning.
Troopers said Giberto Rivera, of Hartford, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-84 near exit 68.
Officials said Rivera showed signs of impairment. He was taken into custody and transported to Troop C.
He’s charged with driving under the influence, wrong-way driving, reckless endangerment and operating under suspension.
Rivera was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment at Rockville Superior Court.
