Greenwich police responded to a swatting call that involved one of the town's public schools on Tuesday morning.
Police did not disclose which school the incident took place at.
Police say that out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed in a secure-in-place status. Officers who were assigned to school patrol were already at the school when the incident took place and responded.
Authorities do not believe the call was credible. They add that there is no known threat to the school community or the public. All students and staff are safe.
Police remained at the school for the entire school day.
Officers also conducted security checks at other schools in town.
