The 911 call came in for an assault around 1 a.m. at 226 W. Tremont Ave., between Phelan Place and Sedgwick Avenue.

A total of 46 units and 141 fire and EMS personnel responded.
Two women, 60 and 66, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
The 51-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to law enforcement sources.
The fire was placed under control at 2:08 a.m.
Fire marshals are working to determine the cause.
The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine the man's cause of death.
