Norwalk man charged after alleged road-rage incident involving a firearm

A driver was arrested Wednesday after an alleged road-rage confrontation on Woodward Avenue in Norwalk in which a firearm was reportedly displayed, according to Norwalk police.

Officers located the vehicle on Fort Point Street and detained the driver, Alberto Rivera, without incident.

Police said a firearm was found inside the vehicle, and Rivera was confirmed to have a valid Connecticut pistol permit.

Rivera was charged with threatening 1st degree, armed/displayed a firearm, and breach of peace. He was held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on July 16.
