A woman's body was found inside a trash can at the Plumb Beach parking lot in Sheepshead Bay, police say.
Officers responded to an area off the Belt Parkway just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say they located the unconscious and unresponsive woman, who is approximately in her 40s. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine her cause and manner of death.
Her identity has not been released as of Thursday night.
