Four students were injured Saturday after a railing collapsed at Bergen Catholic High School.
It happened after the school's football game against Don Bosco Prep, according to school officials and police.
The collapse occurred at the end of the game when Bergen Catholic players approached the student section.
Video of the incident shows students surging toward the team before the railing in front of the bleachers gives way.
According to Bergen Catholic, four students suffered minor injuries. Police said one student suffered contusions and a possible broken leg.
On Sunday, a portion of the bleachers remained blocked off with caution tape. The damaged railing was visible on the track surrounding the field.
In a statement provided to News 12, Bergen Catholic President Dr. Brian Mahoney said the bleachers are inspected annually. He added that the school will conduct an additional inspection following the incident.
"The safety and well-being of our students and community remain our highest priority," he said.
According to the school's athletic calendar, Bergen Catholic is scheduled to host Paramus Catholic for a football game next Saturday.
