A 21-year-old man took himself to the hospital after he was shot in the ankle in Wakefield.
A witness says the shooting happened outside of a bar and lounge on White Plains Road, near East 241st Street. According to the witness, a group of 15 or 20 people were outside when an argument started. There was yelling and then five or six gunshots rang out, the witness says.
Police say the 21-year-old man was struck in the ankle and took himself to Jacobi Medical Center. He is expected to be OK.
Police have not identified any suspects in the case.
