Officials say two people were killed in Connecticut and one child was killed in New York due to Tuesday’s severe weather.
The Danbury Fire Department says one man was killed after a tree fell on the truck he was in.
According to New Fairfield police, a 41-year-old woman was also killed after a tree fell on her car as she was driving. They say a 3-year-old in the vehicle was not injured. A
GoFundMe has been set up for the woman.
Officials in New York say an 11-year-old girl was killed when a tree fell onto the car she was in with her family.
Rescue workers say they worked to free the girl as the storm passed through. They say they eventually were able to get the girl out, but she did not survive.
