30th annual Vazzy's Charity Golf Tournament set for Monday in Stratford

The 30th annual Vazzy's Charity Golf Tournament will take place at Mill River Country Club in Stratford Monday.
Organizer Johhny Vazzano said the popular event has raised over $1 million for over the course of 30 years.
He said the nonprofit, which he calls "a Connecticut Treasure," has helped countless kids and the community at large.
"They do great work in the city, the community. They really give back and they're hardworking people there, so we get along well and it's been a good relationship," Vazzano said.
"To see a community of individuals coming back to give back to the McGivney Community Center. It makes my heart feel so great," said the center's executive director Lorraine Gibbons.
Vazzano and Gibbons said registration and lunch will be at 11 a.m. and "tee off" is at 12:30 p.m.
