38th annual Bigelow Tea 'Community Challenge' celebrated in Southport

The Bigelow Tea "Community Challenge" celebrated its 38th anniversary in Southport on Sunday.   The event took place at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club on Center Street.
Organizers said the event benefits the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities, Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, and the YMCA of Fairfield among many others.
"It's really about the three things that make Bigelow Tea so special, it's about family, it's about wellness and it's about fun," said Michele Waits, of Bigelow Tea.
"This event has raised close to $3 million for our community, thanks to all the support of our sponsors, as well as everyone that comes every year to the event," said Cindi Bigelow, the company's president and CEO.
The event also benefited the Connecticut Food Bank, Operation Hope and many more.
