A 46-year-old man was shot to death in Bridgeport early Sunday morning, according to Bridgeport Police.
Officers responded to Anthony Street at 1:05 a.m. after receiving a report of an assault involving a weapon.
Upon arrival, police located Johnny L. Nesmith with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body.
Nesmith was treated at the scene by EMS and was ultimately pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
