The NYPD's 49th Precinct held a candlelight vigil Monday night to remember all police officers who have died in the line of duty.
The vigil comes after Detectives Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were killed in their patrol car during a brazen ambush shooting in Brooklyn on Dec. 20.
During Lui's funeral on Sunday, FBI Director James Comey said 115 officer deaths were reported in 2014, a shocking increase from 2013.
Officers likened the statistics to getting kicked in the gut, saying it shows just how dangerous their jobs can be.
