The state mosquito management program says five human cases of West Nile virus have been identified in Connecticut so far this year.
Four of the five cases are in Bridgeport.
The fifth case is a person in Shelton.
State officials say the five patients are all adults between 30 and 80 years of age.
All of them came down with West Nile between the third week of August and the second week of September, according to officials.
All five are recovering.
