To the dismay of coffee lovers, five Starbucks stores in Connecticut are among those closing nationwide.
Earlier this year, the coffee chain announced plans to close some of its stores in an effort to boost its business and weed out any unprofitable locations. The chain recently released the list of all 600, including one in Fairfield.
Many customers at the Fairfield Starbucks are upset that it is closing. They say trying to find another coffee joint will be an inconvenience.
In the past year, the company?s stock has fallen 40 percent. Starbucks representatives are blaming the sagging economy for the trend.
