A massive fire in a Bridgeport condominium complex left five families displaced.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out just after 7 p.m. Sunday on Alanson Road.
The fire gutted the condos, leaving just some brick structure behind.
Despite the destruction, resident Alvin Manuel, who had lived in the complex for the last 10 years, says his family and his neighbors all escaped unharmed.
"It's a blessing from above that everybody is safe," Manuel says. "The animals are safe. The kids are safe. I have no clothes or anything like that, but it is what it is."
