A 5-year-old Norwalk boy died after a family member accidentally ran him over with a car, police say.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. Thursday at the boy's home on Wood Acre Road.
"A resident of that home pulled into the driveway, apparently didn't see the child in the driveway, and struck the child," says Norwalk Police Lt. Terry Blake.
Police have identified the boy as Peter Tinnen-Strmiska.
"He was just a very sweet kid," says Elizabeth Chieffalo, Peter's day care teacher for three years. "He always had a smile on his face, all the little girls loved him."
The boy's mother has created a GoFundMe page to cover the costs of her son's funeral.
