Six beheaded corpses of white chickens were found in a Greenwich bank parking lot Friday.David Tovar of Greenwich was leaving the bank when he noticed the pile of dead chickens in the shrubs near his car. Disgusted, he immediately called the police. ?At this point we can?t tell if it?s some ritual or a prank,? said Lt. Richard Cochran, ?It?s not something you see every day.?The strange event does have some characteristics of Santeria, an Afro-Caribbean religious tradition, officials say. In this tradition, chickens are beheaded to ward off evil spirits.
