More than 1,000 people are expected to be at the Earthplace Festival in Westport today.

Those who come out will take part in a variety of fall activities.

Children of all ages are welcome to eat a donut off a string or swim in a pool of corn.

Organizers say the event celebrates the great outdoors while also teaching children about the importance of preserving and appreciating nature.
