A 7-month-old baby has been found dead inside a hotel in Wayne.

Police responded to the Days Inn on Route 23 before 2 p.m. Wednesday, where they found the infant in a room that is being treated as a possible crime scene.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is leading the investigation into the baby's death, and officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
