AAA says the crisis in Iraq is resulting in higher oil prices.
The state average for gas in Connecticut is $3.95 per gallon. People in Norwalk at the Global Gas Station say they can't believe prices are so high.
The state average has gone up 3 cents per gallon since the crisis in Iraq started, AAA says. Before then, AAA says there was a decline in prices. The national average has also gone up 3 cents a gallon in the last week.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) says if gas prices keep rising, something may need to be done to protect consumers from price gouging.
AAA says gas prices usually go down in the month of June.
