An abandoned Norwalk home that has long concerned neighboring residents has been partially shuttered, but many want it torn down or boarded up completely.
The property became an issue after teenagers began to use it as a hangout. Neighbors living in the nearby Rolling Ridge condominiums are worried that kids who may be drinking and smoking could start a fire.
Norwalk Mayor Dick Moccia has looked to address the situation by contacting the property?s owners, who he says have been very cooperative. They tore down an adjacent farmhouse in June. However, the main house still stands, and local teens have recently been seen inside again.
The current owners inherited the land from longtime Norwalk resident Vincent Aquino, who died three years ago.
