Above average temperatures Wednesday with highs in the 70s

Clouds early on will clear and give us a warm, sunny and dry Wednesday with well-above average temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70s.

NEXT: Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Scott Sincoff says it will continue to feel windy, with clouds moving in overnight and even the chance for a sprinkle or patch of fog along the coast.
NEW: Clouds early on will clear and give us a warm, sunny and dry Wednesday with well-above average temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70s. Break out the shorts and T-shirts, because it will feel like May or June as we head into the rest of the workweek. We have the potential to reach record high temperatures both Thursday and Friday, with highs around 80 degrees.
NEXT: The cool down comes over the weekend as a front brings in shower chances and cooler air starting Saturday night. Temperatures will cool into the 50s and 60s as we kick off the new week.

TONIGHT: Becoming mostly cloudy and breezy. Chance of a sprinkle or patch of fog along the coast overnight with clouds lingering into the morning. Lows in the 50s with a gusty wind out of the west with a breeze up to 25 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Clouds to start with plenty of sunshine by the afternoon. Break out the shorts and T-shirts with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s across western Connecticut. Wind: W 10-20 mph.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Calmer wind and mostly clear. Lows in the 50s. Wind: W 0-5 mph.
THURSDAY: Sunny with a few clouds. Potential record high temperatures approaching 80 degrees. Lows in the 50s.
FRIDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Potential record high temperatures on both sides of 80 degrees. Lows in the 50s.
SATURDAY: Cooler with increasing clouds. Shower chances Saturday night. Highs in the 70s.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy and cooler with a few sprinkles possible. Highs in the 60s.
MONDAY: Partly cloudy with a shower chance. Highs in the 60s, 50s north of I-84.
TUESDAY: Sunshine with a shower chance. Highs in the 50s to around 60.
