Animal advocacy group Desmond’s Army is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to an arrest of the person or persons involved in an incident from October 2021 when a bulldog was thrown from a truck.
The group posted a message on its Facebook page offering a cash reward.
Staff at the Woodbridge Regional Animal Control said the pooch, who they named Mary, has been at the shelter since late October after someone tossed her out of a pickup truck.
A woman driving behind the truck saw the dog being discarded and took her to the home of friend who is a volunteer at the shelter. The driver of the pickup hasn’t been identified.
Mary is also up for adoption, and anyone interested in adopting her is asked to call 203-389-5991.
