Connecticut Attorney General William Tong is backing the Appellate court's decision to uphold the elimination of religious exemptions when it comes to school vaccine requirements.

The existing decision was being challenged by the group We the Patriots USA, Inc.

The group argued the elimination "violated their First Amendment rights."

Tong said in part, "This decision is a full and resounding affirmation of the constitutionality and legality of Connecticut's vaccine requirements."
