A man accused of trying to drown his two children early Saturday morning was arraigned in court on Monday.
Romney Desronvil, from Queens, NY, faces several charges, including two counts of attempted murder.
Police said they found an SUV parked on the beach near Ocean Avenue and Dawson on Saturday morning in West Haven.
Officers heard screams coming from the water and said they saw Desronvil deliberately trying to drown the two children.
Police officers entered the water, rescued both children and brought them to shore.
Both children received CPR and were taken to a hospital.
Police said the children remain in the ICU.
