Danbury police have made an arrest in a 1989 abduction and rape case.
David Coffey was arrested Tuesday and charged in the abduction and rape of a Danbury woman. Police say the incident happened in the Lake Avenue and Merrimac Street area.
Last November, the alleged victim reached out to police, providing a story that matched with previous police reports. This led to an arrest warrant for Coffey.
His bond is currently set at $750,000.
