Artist, Norwalk kids team up to build abstract city
An empty building on Wall Street in Norwalk will house an abstract art installation piece called Cell City that builds communities while community building.
The piece is the brainchild of Austrian artist Dieter Puntigam. He is working with local students to create an artistic representation of a city.
"The Cell City is about communication," says Puntigam.
The architects of Cell City are all local students. The kids have been split into teams, and each team has been given a designated "cell" to design.
Puntigam will put the finishing touches on the piece, connecting the students' cities to one another.
The exhibit opens next Friday.
