An autopsy was performed Thursday on an 8-month-old girl who died at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stamford on Wednesday.
Police say they were called to the hotel on Summer Street after 7 a.m. following reports of a baby found unconscious and not breathing. They say medics attempted to revive the baby for some time before taking her to Stamford Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The parents told police that they were visiting Stamford from Ohio to attend a taping of "The Maury Povich Show."
Officers say the 27-year-old mother told them she found the baby unresponsive on a pillow wedged between the bed and the wall. She said the baby must have fallen off the bed sometime during the night.
Police say the mother also had her 2-year-old son in bed with her.
