Avelo Airlines will offer travelers in southwestern Connecticut nonstop service from Tweed New Haven Airport to Florida in November.

They say the new option will help travelers to avoid the traffic and delays to major area airports.

Avelo says flights to Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers and Fort Lauderdale start at $59.

Their airline will use 150-seat jets, which it says will allow more room and comfort for passengers.
