Environmentalists confirmed Thursday that Milford is home to a bald eagle's nest.
They say it is the first nest in the area in over 70 years.
For the safety of these birds, environmentalists don't want the public to know exactly where the nest is located. News 12's camera crews had to stay at least 100 yards away.
Milan Bull, of the Connecticut Audubon Society, says what's interesting is the fact that the eagles chose to nest within a residential community. He adds that if the nest lasts through the year, the birds will surely return to the exact same nest next winter.
