Several people came out to Silver Sands State Park in Milford to end their Labor Day weekend.
People at the beach said it was a nice way to end their long weekend as the sky remained clear despite concerns about Hermine.
Lifeguards say the wind was slightly stronger than normal, leading to choppier water.
Milford firefighters say they had to rescue two men on a boat Monday afternoon because of the water conditions.
They say the boat capsized several yards off the shore of Silver Sands State Park and the men were rescued without sustaining any injuries.
Officials say lifeguards warned the men of the water conditions but they decided to go out on the water at their own risk.
