One Connecticut lawmaker wants stiffer penalties for people who make threats on schools in the wake of terror attacks in Paris and California.
Connecticut state Sen. Tony Hwang says he intends to reintroduce a bill that would beef up the state's threatening laws to felony charges.
Hwang says his son is a student in Farifield, which put all its schools on lockdown in October after a threat that turned out to be a hoax.
The 2016 session of the General Assembly starts on Feb. 3.
