A popular exhibit is back at the Bronx Zoo for a second year.
Patrons visiting the Bronx Zoo this weekend can expect to see a variety of birds during the "Birds in Flight" exhibition.
The Wildlife Conservation Society is holding the event for the next seven weekends.
Zoo officials say the birds have been practicing their runs so that they can get used to their new environment for the upcoming weekends.
"We let the birds fly around, get their bearings, learn about the tree, where the perches are, and the people and animals at the zoo," says Phung Luu, master bird trainer.
As part of the show, selected audience members will be able to get up close to the birds.
"That's what we want to do, bring these birds closer to people, give them a bit more appreciation," says Luu.
