The Bishop Jean Williams Food Pantry is preparing for a different Thanksgiving giveaway this year during the pandemic.
Pastor Mary Green says the Phase 2 rollbacks will make it impossible to have the usual big turkey giveaway that the nonprofit normally does for the holiday, but 700 families will still get what they need.
"We are going to have to give out the turkeys as we get them," Green says. "We are not able to congregate as usual with masked amounts of volunteers so we are going to give the turkeys and the fixings as we get them this year so that everyone stays safe."
The food pantry is still seeking help with turkey donations and other needs.
