Police in Westport say they need the public’s help in finding those responsible for ripping down the Black Lives Matter banner at a local church.
According to police, someone, or a group of people, ripped down the banner at Unitarian Church on Lyons Road sometime between Aug. 23 and 24.
Police say the banner, which was hanging on private property, was cut off and ripped from its metal frame.
The Connecticut Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League stated it will work with the community to address the situation.
