Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling says he can't comment on a recent report that says the city is crafting a plan to buy out a local Islamic group that wants to build a mosque.
The city's Common Council met in executive session Wednesday night to consider a settlement with the organization.
A local blog cites sources from inside that meeting saying officials are considering paying the group $1.9 million to buy the property and settle the lawsuit they filed against the city.
Rilling says it is unfortunate that items discussed in executive session were leaked and that he can't say when a decision may be made.
