Connecticut's two candidates for the United States Senate faced off on Sunday in their first and only debate in Rocky Hill. 
State Representative Dan Carter and Sen. Richard Blumenthal discussed a variety of topics on WFSB's Face the State program.
The candidates were asked questions on various topics like gun violence, the country's heath care system and the economy.
Blumenthal and Carter also discussed the open seat in the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as productivity in Congress.
