Children have two new places to play after Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrión Jr. and the nonprofit group Out2Play unveiled new playgrounds Wednesday.
Carrión joined members of Out2Play at P.S. 156 at 750 Concourse Village West for a ribbon cutting. They also unveiled another playground at P.S. 55 at 450 St. Paul's Place.Carrión said activity is vital for the growth and health of children.
Out2Play transformed asphalt into playgrounds complete with slides, swings and other equipment. The group said it costs about $250,000 for it to build a playground in the city.
