Communities along southwestern Connecticut are bracing as Hurricane Sandy moves up the East Coast today.
Last night, Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch ordered a mandatory evacuation in the city. However, officials say as of 5:30 a.m. today, only about one in 100 people heeded the warning.
Meanwhile, police and fire officials are out making sure residents and roads are safe as the storm approaches.
