The Bridgeport community remembered a longtime city worker who passed away this week.
Crystal Mack, 65, was interviewed on News 12 Connecticut many times over the years.
Officials say she worked in the fire department and tax assessor's office for decades and had a passion for helping people in need.
After losing her house to foreclosure last year, Mack became homeless and said her health suffered as a result.
Mack died of a heart attack at Bridgeport Hospital on Wednesday.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal said, "She was a powerful voice for the disenfranchised who left a lasting mark on her community."
