A Bridgeport family is grieving the loss of their son— a chef who was killed when he crashed his car driving home from work on Route 8 last week.
The family says police told them their son Lorenzo Myers may have fallen asleep at the wheel Tuesday night in Shelton, where they say officers found his car early Wednesday morning in a ditch.
His family shares that Myers' was hungry to become a success in the food industry.
He worked at a corporate cafeteria in Wilton and a catering business specializing in cookouts that was really taking off. The family says Myers wanted to buy a food truck and eventually own his own restaurants.
Myers shared a name and birthdate with his grandfather, who was killed on I-95 in Greenwich Halloween night in 1959.
