The Bridgeport Fire Department responded to a large structure fire late Wednesday morning on the 30 block of Cleveland Avenue.
Crews arrived around 11:44 a.m. to find heavy flames engulfing the second and third floors at the rear of the home. The blaze quickly escalated to a second, then third alarm as additional firefighters were called in to bring it under control.
Fire departments from Fairfield and Stratford provided mutual aid and station coverage, while Bridgeport crews worked to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported, according to officials.
The American Red Cross is assisting five adults and two children who were displaced by the blaze.
