A Bridgeport group is reaching out to the community to ensure residents stay warm during the first snowstorm of the season.
LifeBridge Community Services is distributing winter coats to the families it serves. Its mission is to help Bridgeport's youth and families thrive by providing a helping hand.
"The Coat Drive is just another way for LifeBridge to tell the community that we love and care for them, we respect them and no one should go cold this winter," says Alan J. Mathis, president and CEO of LifeBridge Community Services.
The coats are donated by the public.
The giveaway is happening today and tomorrow for all LifeBridge clients.
